Dean W. Kriner

President & Funeral Director

Dean was born in Williamsport. At the age of 4 he moved to his mother's hometown of Fleetwood in Berks County. He graduated from Fleetwood High School in 1956. 

After high school Dean attended Kutztown State Teachers College, now Kutztown University, for 2 years before enrolling at the former Eckel's College of Mortuary Science in Philadelphia. 

A 1959 graduate of Eckel's, Dean moved to Lancaster where he served his internship and 5 years as a licensed funeral director. Following his time in Lancaster, he moved to Benton where he purchased the Holcombe Funeral Home, renaming it the Dean W. Kriner Funeral Home. 

Dean is married to the former Jill A. McHenry, a descendant of one of the first settlers in Northern Columbia County, Daniel McHenry. 

Dean is a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association, and the Central Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association. He is also a member of the Oriental Lodge 460, F & AM, Orangeville and other Masonic organizations. Other memberships are the Bloomsburg Rotary Club and Columbia-Montour Torch Club.

Keri Ann Edwards

Funeral Director

Keri Ann was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA and grew up in the Hunlock Creek area of Luzerne County, PA.  She graduated from Northwest Area High School in Shickshinny, PA in 1990.  

Following high school, she started a family, becoming the mother of two daughters and six grandchildren, one of whom, Aislinn, she is raising.   

Keri Ann had a life long interest in the death field, either being a Medical Examiner or as a Funeral Director.  She enrolled at Luzerne County Community College, Nanticoke, in 2001, majoring in Pre-Mortuary.  She later transfered to Northhampton County Community College, Bethlehem, where she graduated in 2005 with an Associates Degree in Mortuary Science.  She received her Pennsylvania funeral directors license in 2006.  

She is married to Allen Edwards, Jr., a native of Berwick.  

Keri Ann enjoys being a Funeral Director and is privileged to be able to help families during one of lifes most difficult periods.  She find great satisfaction in being able to help families say goodbye to a loved one.  

Emily F. Schnee

Funeral Director

Emily was born in Bloomsburg, PA. She was a 2006 graduate of Pleasant Valley High School, Brodheadsville.

She went to Northampton Community College, Bethlehem, and graduated with a degree in Funeral Service in 2013. Following her graduation, she served her internship in Pittsburgh, and worked at various funeral homes in the state, until she joined our team in 2018.

She enjoys serving the local community, given that her family is from the area.

Emily currently resides in the Millville area with her two children. 

Madelyn Calluso

Funeral Director

Madelyn was born and raised in Bloomsburg, PA. She is a graduate of the Bloomsburg High School class of 2016. 

She is the granddaughter of Dean W. Kriner, the owner of Dean W. Kriner Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Bloomsburg, PA and Benton, PA, as well as the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home in Danville, PA. She has been helping Mr. Kriner for many years around the funeral home. 

Her specialties lie in creating memorial cards, register books, and video tributes for bereaved families. However, she can also be seen greeting visitors for viewings and working alongside her grandfather at funerals. She enjoys personalizing the funerals to ensure that each family walks away feeling satisfied with the service.

After completing 81 college credits in a year, she was accepted into the Northampton Community College Funeral Service program. She graduated in May 2018 and completed her internship in July 2019. She is now a licensed funeral director. 

Madelyn has two cats and an Australian Shepherd/Border Collie named Vienna.
