Thomas D. A. Myers, age 74, of 3323 Ridge Road, Bloomsburg, died at 2:36 p. m. Sunday at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, after a long illness.
Born in Mahoning Township, Montour County on March 11, 1945, he was a son of the late James and Loraine (Black) Myers. A 1963 graduate of Danville High School, he resided in the Bloomsburg area for much of his lifetime.
Tom was employed by the Berwick Hospital Center and Berwick Retirement Village for 35 years in the dietary department, retiring in 2010.
He was a faithful member of St. Luke Lutheran Church. His favorite activity was hunting and in his earlier life he was an avid bowler. He loved children and especially his grandchildren.
Tom served with the U. S. Air Force in Vietnam.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Daniel Myers and James Myers and by a sister D'Esta Myers.
Surviving are his wife, the former Connie E. Welliver, with whom he observed their 46th wedding anniversary on August 19, 2019; a son, Brian T. Myers, and his wife Shanna, Norristown; twins: Crystal, wife of John Gootee, New Salisbury, Ind. and Chris Reibsome, Louisville, Ken.; three granddaughters; four great-grandsons; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at a time to be announced in spring of 2020.
