RoseAnn Zimmerman, age 57, of 540 Everett Street, Benton died unexpectedly at 8:18 a. m. Saturday, February 27, 2021, in the emergency room of the Berwick Hospital Center.
Born at the Bloomsburg Hospital on October 13, 1963, she was the daughter of Arthur J. Zimmerman, with whom she resided and the late Gladys I. (Yocum) Zimmerman.
Rose was a lifelong resident of Benton and attended the Benton Schools before transferring to the Columbia-Montour Vocational Technical School where she graduated from the Cosmetology Curriculum in 1981.
She was a member of the Benton Christian Church.
Earlier in her life Rose was an active volunteer for both the Benton Volunteer Fire Co. and the Benton Ambulance Association.
Rose was employed earlier in her life as a substitute in the Benton School System and also at the former Flower Station.
One of the joys of her life since she became disabled was caring for Freddie, Damion and Sonya who she cared for all of their lives.
Surviving in addition to her father is a brother, Ricky Zimmerman and his wife Dianne of Millville.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p. m. in the Benton Volunteer Fire Company Hall, 150 Colley Street, Benton, with Scott Lyons, pastor of the Stillwater Christian Church officiating. Interment will follow in Dodson Cemetery, Huntington Township, Luzerne County. Viewing will be from 1-2 p. m.
