Myra Ann (Rupert) Johnson, age 73, of 4340 Old Berwick Road, Bloomsburg, died Tuesday evening, June 29, 2021, at the Bloomsburg Care & Rehabilitation Center where she was a patient.
Born at the Bloomsburg Hospital on November 14, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Hope C. and Gladys M. (Broadt) Rupert. She spent her lifetime in the Bloomsburg area and was a 1965 graduate of Bloomsburg High School.
Myra was last employed by Aramark Food Service at Bloomsburg University for over 20 years. Earlier she was employed by the former Bloomsburg Mills, Inc. and the former Bloomsburg Bank-Columbia Trust Co.
She was a longtime member of the First English Baptist Church where she was actively involved earlier in her life.
Myra enjoyed celebrating holidays, especially Halloween when she would dress up.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David W. Johnson on May 29, 2020 and by a son, Michael Johnson, on Feb. 24, 1980.
Surviving is a daughter, Lisa Ann Baker-Houck and her husband Scott Houck of Catawissa; a sister Kathleen Haynes of Craig, Colorado and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 2 p. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg with her pastor, Rev. Dr. L. Lee Barnhardt officiating. Interment will follow in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. Friends may call from 1-2 p. m.
