Larry D. Millard, age 80, of 122 Chrysty Hill Road, Bloomsburg, died unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, August 29, 2020.
Born in Bloomsburg on August 3, 1940, he was a son of the late John C. and Dorothy (Ranck) Millard. He resided in Madison Township since 1986.
Larry was employed by the former Magee Carpet Co. for 34 years as a press operator, retiring in July, 2002.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an expert gardener, growing many vegetables and other foods in his garden which he shared with neighbors, friends and family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers: Harold Millard, Donald Millard, James Millard, Henry Millard, Robert Millard and Jack Millard and by three sisters: Elaine Boyer, Louise Eagen and June Beaver.
Larry is survived by a sister, Joyce, wife of Ronald Foust, Bloomsburg; many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great- nephews and several great-great-nieces and great-great nephews.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Joyce and Ronnie Foust, Butch and Heather Mausteller, Cathy and Ed Johns, Dr. Robert A. Meloy, M.D., the Hemlock Police Department and the Bloomsburg EMT’S for their concern and care in helping Larry to remain in his home.
Graveside services will be held on Friday at 10 a. m. in New Rosemont Cemetery, Old Berwick Road, Espy, with Rev. Gordon E. Smith, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church, Espy, officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
