Kathy Mae Oldroyd, 65, a longtime resident of Espy, passed away Friday morning, January 22, 2021 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville with her husband by her side.
She had been in declining health since mid-September.
Born on May 1, 1955 at the Bloomsburg Hospital, Kathy was a daughter of Geraldine (Miller) Snyder, now residing at the Bloomsburg Care & Rehabilitation Center and the late Wayne Snyder.
Kathy attended Central Columbia Schools, graduating in 1973 from Columbia Montour Area Vocational Technical School.
She was then employed for several years by Haddon Craftsmen.
Kathy enjoyed gardening, doing crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles, listening to music, and family gatherings. In her younger years, she enjoyed horseback riding and swimming.
In addition to her mother, Kathy is survived by her husband of 41 years, Albert Oldroyd; a sister, Sharon Vogt, and her husband Michael of Nescopeck; two brothers: Edwin Snyder or Clinton, NJ; and Roy Snyder, and his wife Linda of Nescopeck; two nieces; one nephew; and several cousins.
A celebration of life service will be held in the spring.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
