Jacqueline S. (Gallegos) Haseltine, age 96, of Bloomsburg, died on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 12: 28 p. m. at the Brookdale Assisted Living where she resided since 2019.
She was born on August 9, 1924 in Frankfort, Indiana a daughter of the late Joel and Sarah (Herrera) Gallegos. Jackie loved gardening and teaching ballroom dancing and was an avid golfer.
Jackie married Julius Donaldson on September 2, 1943 and they raised their three children, Sandra, Lawrence and Janet, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. In 1971 she moved to Northern California and lived in Paradise, California where she enjoyed a close relationship with her grandsons, Bret and Jeremy.
In the Spring of 1994, Jackie married her longtime friend William Haseltine, who preceded her in death in 1998. In 2018, Jackie fled the Paradise forest fires and came to Bloomsburg to be closer to her daughter Jan.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jackie was preceded in death by her daughter Sandra Seward in 2007.
She is survived by her daughter Jan, wife of Frank Curran, Buckhorn; her son, Larry Donaldson, Paradise, California; seven grandchildren: Bret Haugse, Jeremy Boe, Antoinette Nazzari, Jesse Curran, Sarah Curran, Frank Curran, III, and James Donaldson; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a. m. in the Community Alliance Church, 1142 Ridge Road, Bloomsburg (Lightstreet) with Pastor Jay Olivo officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
