Helen P. (McAfee) Kauffman, age 86, of 234 Winding Road, Orangeville, died at 5:00 a. m. Sunday, March 15, 2020, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where she had been a patient.
Born in Berwick on July 21, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Cecil and Edith (Cope) McAfee. She was a 1951 graduate of Berwick High School.
Helen resided in Fishingcreek Township since 1990 and previously lived in the Maple Grove section of Benton Township for over 20 years.
She enjoyed playing bingo and reading, but her most important activity was caring for her daughter Diane.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard “Red” Kauffman, on November 18, 1984 and by an infant son in 1959.
Surviving are two daughters: Darla K., wife of Robert G. Kocher, Benton and Diane M. Kauffman, at home; a son, Richard Kauffman, Jr., at home; a grandson, Aaron Kocher, and his fiance’, Vanessa Lippay, Shamokin; a granddaughter, Amber Kocher, wife of Matthew Stackhouse, Stillwater; three great-grandchildren: Brandon Kocher, Glenn Stackhouse and Gabriel Stackhouse.
At her request there will be no funeral services or viewing.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Benton.
