Zella M. Kramer

Zella  M. (Troxell) Kramer, age 70,  of 116 Hemlock Lane, Bloomsburg, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at her home.

Born in Montoursville on June 20, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Archie T. and Catherine (Arnold) Troxell. She was a 1966 graduate of Montoursville High School and resided in Bloomsburg since 1983.

Zella was employed as a housekeeper at the former Balanced Care Health Center, Bloomsburg and last did housekeeping for private families in the Bloomsburg area. Early in her life she was employed by the former Magee Carpet Co., where she worked in security.

Her hobbies included crafting and horseback riding. She also was a certified scuba diver.  She enjoyed animals and the outdoors and also cooking.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Kramer on September 27, 1994, by a a brother Fred Troxell and a sister, Frances Reeder.

Zella is survived by her son, Scott D. Kramer of Bloomsburg and five siblings: James D. Troxell, and his wife Sadie, Anchorage, AK; Jean A., wife of David Hager, Montoursville; Gloria  Zelewicz, Montoursville; Donna Carroll, Seattle, Wash.;  Dean Troxell, and his wife Eleanor, Anchorage, Ak; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held, Interment will follow in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.

I just found this. I had been calling Zella every couple of months to check on her. I started trying to contact Scott when the phone went unanswered. This is indeed, unexpected. I'm sorry for her family. :`-(

I'm Jim's cousin, Muriel Hykes. My mom, Joyce Dover, introduced Jim and Zella. She would be heartbroken by this.
