William John “BJ” Reed

William John "BJ" Reed, 42, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2026.

Born February 21, 1984, BJ was the son of Sandy (Joe) Lehr and Bill (Melinda) Reed. He was a graduate of Bloomsburg Area High School and Pennsylvania College of Technology and was employed by Geisinger Medical Center.

BJ was well known and had a gift for making friends. He was a sweetheart of a man with a kind soul, and he never met a stranger. Many will remember him as the voice behind the mic, whether he was hosting bar trivia or spinning records as a local DJ. He was a devoted San Francisco 49ers and Giants fan, and some of his happiest times were spent camping with friends and attending baseball games. He was just as happy simply spending time with the people he loved, joining in on whatever they were doing, and they were always glad to have him along. Above all, BJ loved his family and friends deeply, and he will be remembered most for the fun and warmth he brought to everyone around him.

In addition to his parents, BJ is survived by his brother, Eric Reed; his sister, Vanessa (Ryan) Troup; his nieces and nephew, Hailey Reed, Logan Reed, and Nora Troup; his stepbrothers (Joe Lehr III and Ethan Yocum); and a large, loving family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.

A visitation with family and friends will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, followed by a celebration of BJ's life at the American Legion Post 273 in Bloomsburg.
