William "Billy" C. Mount

William Charles Mount, age 64, of Heller’s Hill Road, Berwick (Briar Creek) died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, December 14, 2022.

Born in Jersey City, N. J. on April 3, 1958, he was a son of the late John and Doris (Kinder)Mount.

Bill worked many trades throughout his life to pay bills – mechanic, welder, equipment operator, and more. His last job was printing bags at the former Bemis plant near Hazleton, but one of his wife’s favorite was his job at a spice factory in New Jersey, as he always smelled so good.

He was always a hard worker, but was a craftsman and artist at heart. He was a very talented photographer, computer artist and builder. He built a beautiful display case from scratch, but was especially fond of salvaging discarded pieces of furniture and restoring them to beauty. He worked with wood and metal and produced beautiful images, both with his camera and with his computer programs.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two younger brothers, Daniel Mount and John Mount, Jr (Jackie).

Bill is survived by his wife, Doris Traulsen Mount and his favorite feral kitty, Grammy.

Besides Doris, he will be missed by many friends and former co-workers, but especially by his neighbor, Audrey, who had come to love him as a son.

Bill and Doris started their life together on New Years Day 1986 and formalized things on his birthday in 1997 at a City Hall ceremony. They moved to Bloomsburg on Mother’s Day 2003 but he died at his beloved trailer in Briar Creek with Doris by his side.

Bill and Doris never had any children, but they raised many fur babies together.

There will not be any funeral services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
