William T. Giberson, age 55, 32 Jerseytown Road, Bloomsburg, died at 11:25 p.m. Friday, April 23, 2010 at the Williamsport Hospital, Williamsport, where he was a patient for one week. He had been in failing health for 15 months.
Born in Tunkhannock on January 31, 1955, he was a son of the late Jean (Giberson) Ferris. He was a 1973 graduate of Tunkhannock High School.
Bill resided in Jerseytown since 2002 and previously lived in the Harvey's Lake area.
He was employed as a maintenance mechanic by the Proctor & Gamble Co. at their plant in Mehoopany for more than 25 years, last working in 1997.
A member of the American Legion; the Nescopeck Rod & Gun Club and the National Rifle Association, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a former member of the National Guard at Tunkhannock.
Bill enjoyed NASCAR racing, especially the Miller Lite Car; playing his guitar, flying remote controlled airplanes, spending time with his grandchildren and going to his cabin at Forksville.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Donald Giberson, Paul Giberson and Henry Giberson.
Surviving are his wife, the former Susan K. St. Clair, whom he married on August 12, 2002; three daughters: Kimberly, wife of Michael Teetsel, Sweet Valley; Debbie, wife of Jeff Steltz, Hanover Township; Bobbie Jo Davis, Pond Hill; seven grandchildren; two sisters: Evelyn Scranta and Mae Session, both of Tunkhannock; and a sister-in-law, Vaunda Giberson, Mountain Home, Idaho.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1715 Bloom Road, Danville, with Pastor Kenneth Krelle, of the River of Life Ministries, Lehman, officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m.
