William G. “Bill” Conrad, age 91, of Bloomsburg, passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 18, 2025 at his home.

Born on February 5, 1934 in Shamokin Dam, he was the son of the late Foster S. and Anna May (Deibler) Conrad. Bill was a 1952 graduate of Sunbury High School. He resided in Bloomsburg for 40 years and had previously resided in Northumberland for 18 years.

Prior to retiring, Bill was employed by Bell Telephone in the maintenance department for 26 years. Earlier in his life, he was employed by the PA Railroad for 12 years as a block operator.

Bill proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

He enjoyed going to Bloomsburg Health & Fitness. He was especially fond of fishing and going on annual trips to Canada with his family. Bill was also an avid gardener and a talented woodworker, making many family heirlooms. He had a great sense of humor and always had a joke to tell.

Bill was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Conrad and James Conrad, and a son-in-law, Coty Cool.

Surviving is his wife, Patricia S. (Foltz) Conrad, with whom he celebrated their 42 wedding anniversary on December 31, 2024; seven children: Debrah Zechman, and her husband Samuel, of Northumberland, Timothy A. Conrad, and his wife Laurie, of Northumberland, Jennifer L. Cool, of Buckhorn, Timothy Schnee of Ramey, Susan Schnee of Rohrsburg, Greg Schnee, and his wife Barbara of Buckhorn and Laura Wolfe and her husband Jeffrey of Buckhorn; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Jean Snyder, of Sunbury.

Funeral services with military honors will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 10:30 am in the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with Rev. Gordon E. Smith, officiating. Burial is private.
