Vivian M. (Reedy) Kitchen, age 107, formerly of Bloomsburg passed away peacefully at Vintage Knolls Senior Living in Danville on Saturday, December 24, 2022, where she resided for the past two years.

Born on December 13, 1915 in Hammond, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Joseph L. and Clara M. (Reifendifer) Reedy. She was a longtime resident of Bloomsburg and a 1933 graduate of Bloomsburg High School. Following her husband’s retirement in 1977 they moved to Bradenton, Florida. Following his death, she returned to Bloomsburg in 1998.

Vivian owned the former Little Shop in Bloomsburg from 1950 to 1965.

At the time of her death, she was the oldest member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

Vivian was an avid golfer, traveled extensively and loved to cook and garden. She was also an excellent bridge player.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy E. Kitchen in 1996, a sister Jeanne Patterson and a brother Joseph S. Reedy.

Vivian is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

Private services for the immediate family will be at a later time, followed by interment in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
