VIVIAN M. CUNNINGHAM

Vivian M. Cunningham, age 87, 114 Main Street, Catawissa, died at 9:50 p. m. Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Balanced Care At Bloomsburg in Scott Township, where she was a patient since November 22, 2008. She was in failing health for several years.

Born in Catawissa on July 15, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Foster B. and Dorothy R. (Bucher) Kern. She resided in Catawissa most of her lifetime and was a 1940 graduate of the former Catawissa High School.

Vivian was a lifelong member of the Catawissa United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband, James H. Cunningham, with whom she celebrated her 64th wedding anniversary on June 30, 2009; two sons: James L. Cunningham, and his wife Jane, Bloomsburg; George M. Cunningham, Stillwater; two grandsons: James H. Cunningham, Bloomsburg and Jason H. Cunningham, West Pittston; a great-grandson, Joel M. Cunningham, Bloomsburg; a brother, George F. Kern, and his wife Nancy, Lebanon; and a sister, Vera E., wife of John Voystock, Camp Hill.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1:30 p. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg, with Rev. Allen F. Acor, pastor of the Hendrickson-Mooresburg United Methodist Churches officiating. Interment in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge. Friends may call on Tuesdy from 12 noon untill the time of the services.
