Virginia A. (Bellum) Johns

Virginia A. (Bellum) Johns, 90, of Old Berwick Road, Bloomsburg, passed away at her home early Sunday, February 8, 2026 after an illness.

Born in Beaver Township on January 20,1936, she was a daughter of the late Phillip R., Sr. and Dorothy (Buehler) Bellum. She was a 1954 graduate of Beaver Township High School and resided in South Centre Township since 1968.

Virginia was employed by Central Columbia High School as a cook in the cafeteria for 30 years, retiring in 1998.

She was a member of the New Hope Church in Lime Ridge.

Virginia’s hobby was collecting bells and also eagle statues and plates.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years on January 31, 2o12 and by three brothers: Henry G. Bellum, Sr., on August 12, 2011, Phillip R. Bellum, Jr in 2008 and Richard J. Bellum on May 27, 2014.

Virginia is survived by two sons: George D. Johns, Jr of Shamokin and Dennis O. Johns who resided with her; four grandchildren: Jason Johns, Ashley Neumeister, Daniel Johns and Danielle Johns; nine great-grandchildren: Ava Johns, Emma Johns, Kaleb Johns, Daniel P. Johns, Victoria, Colton Johns, Ariel Johns, Hunter Neumeister and Ayden Neumeister. She was the last of her immediate family and is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 1:30 p. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg with her pastor Rev. Vincent Kiester officiating. Interment will follow in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. Friends may call at the funeral home form 12:30 to 1:30 p. m.
