V. Larry Shultz, age 83, of Mt. Zion Drive, Danville passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, January 13, 2024, after an illness.

Born in Bloomsburg on March 30, 1940, he was a son of the late Victor A. and Edith (Parks) Shultz. He spent his early years in Elysburg before moving to Cooper Township, Montour County where he remained the rest of his life.

Larry held a number of jobs during his working life, including the former Lycoming Silica Sand Quarry and the HRI Quarry. During the winter months he would plow snow for PennDot and Bloomsburg Fair week he be found on security duty at gate 3.

Larry served in the U.S. Army.

He was a life member of Danville Moose Lodge 1133. Larry and his wife were avid motorcyclists and traveled extensively on their Goldwing cycles. He also worked on the pit crew at Selinsgrove Speedway for many years.

Larry is survived by his wife, the former Nancy M. Girton, with whom he observed their 58th wedding anniversary on June 26 2023 and also by numerous nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Dawn Shultz.

Private services with military honors by American Legion Post 40 will be held at the Columbarium in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Danville.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Road, Danville.
