Troy Michael Tafner

Troy Michael Tafner, age 30, of Second St., Mt. Carmel, passed away suddenly on Thursday October 1, 2026 in Upper Augusta Township, Northumberland County, due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Born on January 13, 1996 in Mahoning Township, Montour County, he was the son of Albert Tafner, and Teresa (Paul) Kenenitz, both of Mt. Carmel. He was a 2014 graduate of Mt. Carmel High School.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and motorcycling.

Troy was known for his kind heart, quick wit, and fierce loyalty.

Troy was preceded in death by a sister, Kortni Ann Kenenitz on October 13, 2011.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is also survived by extended family, Tom and Dorene McDonald, Tyler and Corrine Petro, Justin Petro, and Damian McDonald.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday October 10, 2026 at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Mt. Carmel.

Troy loved life fiercely and found freedom on two wheels.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Rd., Danville.
