Tieler Anthony Valeri

Tieler Anthony Valeri, known to most as Tie, 26, of Bloomsburg was called home to his eternal resting place on November 9th, 2022.

He was born in Pittsburgh, Pa on December 24, 1995, son of Tarrah T. Whitmire and Larry George of Danville, Christopher R Beaver of Bloomsburg, and Anthony Valeri of Ohio.

Tie is a 2014 graduate of Bloomsburg High School. He had a passion for sports and was well known for his basketball skills on the court and his love for the LA Lakers and the Indianapolis Colts. He loved writing and had aspired to be a sports journalist.

Tieler loved his family and friends immensely and was the most loyal person you could ever meet. He was extremely talented and intelligent. He loved singing but was unable to carry a tune so this was a passion he was encouraged not to pursue, instead he started an obsession with sneakers. His pride and joy was his 3 year old son Gabriel, it was for him Tie fought to remain free from the grips of addiction. Ultimately, Tieler lost that battle, but his legacy will live on in Gabriel.

Gabriel Alexander Valeri, 3, is Tieler’s only child. In addition to his parents and son, he is survived by his siblings; Sadie Beaver, Trentin Beaver, and Delanee George all of Bloomsburg. He is the grandson of Donna and the late Jimmy Young, Donald Whitmire Sr. and Dara Grover, MaryAnn and the late Ronald Beaver, Karen Valeri and Rob Schupfer, and Dom Valeri. Tie is loved and will be greatly missed by his aunts and uncles; Kiersten (Filmore) and Lee Hyman, Shannon (Heimbach) and William Ferrara, Denise Whitmire, Tonya (Whitmire) and Jonathan Bobersky, Lisa (Valeri) and Carlos Agramonte, Billy and Jennifer (Valeri) Zerby. Tieler also leaves behind his cousins: Elliot, James, and Chloe Hyman; Morgan and Jordan Heimbach, Chase Wilson, Liam Bobersky, Julien Valeri, Daisha and Rae Grant. Josh and Ally McMunn.

Tieler was preceded in death by his Unkie Donnie Whitmire, Uncle Chad Eddinger, and cousin Marlee C. Hyman.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 5 p.m. in the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with the Rev. Charles N. Chamberlain III, pastor of the Bloomsburg Southern Baptist Church, officiating. Friends may call from 3-5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers- Our family asks that you realize no one is immune to the opiate/drug epidemic. We fought as hard as we knew how to help Tieler. Addiction does not discriminate or define a person. They are Somebody’s Someone- He is OURS.
