Thomas E. Richie

Thomas E. Richie, age 74, of Old Berwick Rd., Bloomsburg (Espy), died on Thursday September 10, 2026 at his home.

Born on February 4, 1952 in San Antonio, Texas, he was the daughter of the late Glenn E. and Vera H. (Rupp) Richie. He was a 1970 graduate of Central Columbia High School, and he spent most of his life in Espy. Following graduation, he attended New England School of Law in Boston and Dickinson College in Carlisle.

Thomas was a former attorney. He was last employed at the Salvation Army in Bloomsburg.

He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Espy.

Thomas loved his dog, Ozzie, and his dog Lucky, who preceded him in death.

Surviving are his three siblings: David G. Richie, and his wife Julie, of New Columbia, Sheryl A., wife of Donald Weiser, of Mechanicsburg, and Mark A. Richie, and his wife Helen, of Exton; two nephews; two great nieces; and his girlfriend, Bette Jo Doty, of Catawissa/Espy.

Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
