Theresa A. Serzinski
Theresa A. SerzinskI, age 64, of 140 Winter Street. Duboistown, died at 4:18 p. m. Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at the Gate House at Divine Providence Hospital, Williamsport.
She was born in Bloomsburg on Nov. 2, 1954, the only child of the late Thomas J. and Betty J. (Martz) SerzinskI. She grew up in Bloomsburg (Buckhorn) and was a 1972 graduate of Bloomsburg High School. She resided in Williamsport since 1984.
Theresa was employed by the former Bell Telephone Co. shortly after graduating from high school. When AT & T took over Bell she moved to Williamsport to continue her career. She always called her fellow AT & T workers as her second family.
After retiring from AT & T, she worked as a caregiver for PRN Home Health until the onset of her illness.
Although Theresa was an only child, she grew up surrounded by numerous aunts and uncles and more than 40 cousins who would gather at “Nana Martz’s” house in Buckhorn for holidays and most weekends.
Theresa grew up loving the Beatles and the Rolling Stones and enjoyed seeing them in concert. She also was an animal lover, especially her dear feline friends.
Theresa is survived by seven aunts and uncles: Hazel, wife of Dean A. Robbins; Allen N. Martz, and his wife Dorothy; Kenneth C. Martz, and his wife Eldora, all of the Bloomsburg area; Eunice E., wife of Jon L. Rider, Millville; Arden F. Robbins, Bloomsburg; Mary Martz, Berwick; Shirley Martz, Danville; and many cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with the Rev. Robert Strozyk, pastor of the Mill-Green United Methodist Church, Millville, officiating. Interment will follow in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. The family will greet friends from m10 to 11 a. m.
The family would like to thank the Gatehouse at Divine Providence Hospital for their constant care and being such a bright light in such a dark tunnel.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be sent to the Lycoming S. P. C. A., 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.
Yeah, Vince, we've lost our favorite Ruby Tuesday. I have some Rolling Stones CD's that I play on my stereo. I used to hear you on WHLM radio; I returned to Delaware to live in 1976. My stations here are WMMR, a classic rock station in Philadelphia, and WJBR, an adult contemporary station in Wilmington, Delaware. I was born and raised in Wilmington, but I moved to Newark in 2011. It's a free for all area, you can receive Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Wilmington with no problem. I sometimes receive Boston, Massachusetts on this portable radio I got from the Family Dollar site next door to me when I was returning home from a doctor visit. I will always think of Theresa when I listen to the Rolling Stones or the Beatles.

I just recently found out about Theresa's passing, so please excuse this late posting. Theresa and I were very close in our teenage years. While I am sorry for our loss, I am also very grateful that she was surroundedby so many good friends and family. I wish to thank you all for the love and support you so freely gave her.Now it is time for me to say goodbye to my "Ruby Tuesday".

Theresa was like a big sister to me, my sister and a lot of our cousins- She always had an infectious laugh and a kind heart. She will be missed more than she could ever imagine. I asked Theresa to come stay with us during her illness but she wouldn't because of her cats that she loved. I am happy to say that I have found homes for3 of them so far and am still looking for more homes for the rest. She loved her AT&T family as much as her own family and I thank so many of you for being there for her.

Just wanted to let you know how very sorry I was to hear about Theresa. I worked with her for many years at AT&T. I would go into the infusion room and sit with her when I worked at the cancer center. She would always tell me that you should never give up hope. We would always talk about her love of her pets. I am sure they will be well taken care of. Even though she did not have brothers or sisters, she talked about other family members often. Her laugh will be missed. I am glad I had the privilege of knowing her. Be at peace, Theresa

So sorry to read of Theresa's passing. She cared for my mother for awhile when she worked for PRN. She was pleasant and caring. "R.I.P. Theresa. Look up Grace and give her my love"

I met Theresa working at AT&T. She was always vibrant and had a cheerful hello for everybody. We shared a mutual love of "our" cats. When she became ill, I helped her rehome many of her cats, and adopted two, Alfie and Mirabelle, myself. Theresa absolutely loved it when I was able to get Pax certified as an ESA (Emotional Support Animal) and bring him to visit her, even in a nursing home. Her face just lit up with bright smiles to be able to hold a cat. A dear friend to many, Theresa will be sorely missed. Sending out heartfelt condolences to all who loved her.
