Terry P. Troy, age 65, of Zachery Road, Stillwater, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at the Bonham Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Stillwater.
Born in Bloomsburg on June 8, 1957, he was a son of the late Warren E. and Dorothy (Rickmers) Troy. He was a 1975 graduate of Bloomsburg High School and of Bloomsburg State College where he received a degree in American History.
Terry was employed as a substitute teacher and also worked at Hollywood Video, Reel Collection, the Cinema Center, and the Red Roof Inn in Danville.
He enjoyed family reunions, animals, playing tennis, softball, miniature golf, collecting movie and military memorabilia and photography. He enjoyed going to chiller conventions, World War II weekend events, Gettysburg, shooting ram zoo and Worlds End State Park.
Terry loved his nana Troy’s shoefly pie and waffles and his mother’s mac and cheese. He also loved pizza, Chinese food, a good cheese burger and having a beer with friends.
Terry will be missed by his partner of 37 years, Karen Sevison, with whom he resided; his brother Larry Troy and his wife Beverly of Bloomsburg; his niece Amanda Troy, Camp Hill; his nephew Barry Troy and his wife Amanda; and great-nephews Conner, Warren and Owen of South Carolina; friend, Steve Andrews and wife Barb of State College.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023, at 2:00 p. m. in Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, 37 Faux Road, Zion Grove.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Terry’s memory to your local animal shelter.
A heart felt thank you to all of the staff at Bonham Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for all the loving care Terry received while a patient there.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
