Tara Helwig Vining

Tara Helwig Vining, Catawissa, left her family and friends to be with God on June 13, 2022. A loving daughter and sister, at just 33 years of age, she was already a highly successful entrepreneur. Born July 25, 1988, in Bloomsburg, Tara was the only daughter of Willard “Skeeter” and Susan (Mitchell) Helwig. A devoted daughter and sister, she attended St. Columba (Bloomsburg) and Gate of Heaven (Dallas) elementary schools. She was a 2006 graduate of Southern Columbia High School, and a 2011 graduate of Misericordia University, receiving her masters’ degree in just 4.5 years in Speech-Language Pathology.

Always an adventurer, Tara first worked as an ASHA Certified Speech-Language Pathologist in Eastern Shore, VA, and Kauai, Hawaii before she was prompted by clients (who realized how special a skill set she had) to start her own speech-language pathology business. TeleVine Therapy was established in September 2014, and has grown to provide speech and language, occupational and physical therapy services in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia. In 2017, 2018 and 2019, Tara was awarded the “Top Speech-Language Pathologist” in Ohio by Top Doctors. Additionally, she was highlighted and awarded the Top Speech Language Pathologist in 2018 and 2020 by Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare, making her recognized worldwide. Her proudest accomplishment was serving as CEO and Founder of TeleVine Therapy.

She was a loyal sister to Joshua, and the lifelong friend of Leonilde Clemente Keller. She could always be counted on to be there for her family and friends, showering them with her love, smiles, and an infectious laugh. She never forgot a special occasion, and was always available to provide a listening ear. She knew how to have fun, and utilized every moment of her time on this earth fully. Tara loved skiing (and kept trying to snowboard), jet-skiing, a good meal (like her Dad), dancing long into the night, flowers, and traveling to places like Iceland, Italy, Spain, Tahiti, the Caribbean Islands, Alaska, Hawaii-- just to name a few. Tara leaves behind her parents, her brother, Joshua and his girlfriend Corinne Vega, her grandfather, Jack Griffith, aunts and uncles, Donna and Tina Helwig, Robert Petro, Alan and Bonnie Helwig, John Griffith, Todd and Juanita Helwig, Ellen and Steve Moss, and Peggy Mitchell, cousins Cassidy and Roman Moss, Quinn and Patrick Mitchell, and Cordell Helwig. She shared a special love with Syedhyder Quadri (Philadelphia) and Andrew Vining (Ohio). She was predeceased by her grandparents, Peter and Kathleen Mitchell and Dolores Griffith, her great-grandmother Ivy Helwig, her Uncle Kevin Mitchell, and her cousin Sammy Helwig.

A Con-Celebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Columba Catholic Church 342 Iron St., Bloomsburg, on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at 11 a. m. by Rev. Richard J. Mowery and Rev. Michael Bryant.

Friends and relatives may call at the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg on Friday from 6-9 p. m. The family will meet at the funeral home on Saturday at 10 a. m. for a final goodbye. Interment in the Millgrove UCC Cemetery on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at 10 a. m.
