Sylvia Parrilla

Sylvia Parrilla, age 82, of Berwick, passed away at 12:26 a.m. on Wednesday, February 27, 2019,  at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where she was a patient for nine days.

Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on October 16, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Arcelio and Angela (Castro) Ramirez. Sylvia graduated high school in Puerto Rico. She most recently lived in Berwick for thze past year and  formerly lived in Wilkes-Barre for five years. She was a stay at home mother.

Sylvia was a New York Mets fan.

Surviving is a son, Jose Parrilla, Carmel, NY; daughter, Janis Parrilla, Lansdowne; daughter, Leslie Parrilla, Berwick; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Nellie DeJesus, San Juan, PR; and a niece, Lissette Carrillo, Bayamon, PR.

There will not be any services.
