Sonia A. Deeter

Sonia A. Deeter, age 87, formerly of Bloomsburg , passed away on Monday July 14, 2025 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Born on December 8, 1937 in Bloomsburg, she was the daughter of the late William and Odessa (Boyer) Deeter.

Sonia was last employed by Bloomsburg University in the cafeteria. In her earlier years, she was a waitress at the former Woolworth’s store in Bloomsburg.

She was a member of the former Rupert United Methodist Church.

Sonia was a Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan.

Surviving is his son, Greg C. Deeter, wife Dorene, of Gainesville, Georgia; granddaughter, Melissa Deeter, of Centerville, Ohio; grandson, Kyle Deeter, and his wife Shelby, of Peoria, Illinois; two great-grandsons, Jonah Deeter and Ames Deeter; and several nieces and nephews.

Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be made in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
