Shirley J. Young

Shirley J. Young, age 81, formerly of Kingston died at 2:45 p. m. on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at the Bonham Nursing Center, Stillwater, where she resided for 18 years.

Born in Koonsville, Luzerne County, on August 7, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Goodwin O. Young and Ruth F. (Goss) Troy. Shirley attended Northwest Area High School.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Carol A. Hall in December, 2020.

Shirley is survived by a sister, Eileen, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 7, 2021, at 10 a. m. in Bethel Hill Cemetery, Fairmount Township, Luzerne County, with Rev. Michael T. Bodek officiating.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
