Shirley L. Davis

Shirley L. (Derr) Davis, 82, of Ivey Dr., Bloomsburg, passed away on Monday August 3, 2026 at the Emmanuel Center For Nursing in Danville.

Born on February 28, 1944 at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Leroy W. and Pearl S. (Share) Derr. A 1962 graduate of Bloomsburg High School, she resided in the Bloomsburg area for most of her life.

Shirley last worked for the PA Department of Labor and Industry, retiring in 2004. Prior to that, she was a secretary at the Columbia Montour Vocational Technical school for 16 years.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Espy. She was also a member of the Bloomsburg Elks Lodge #436.

Shirley loved reading and going to the beach.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Ann Guffey.

Surviving are her two sons, Michael Rupert, and his wife Tammy, of Buckhorn, and Chris Davis, and his wife Jan, of Bloomsburg; four grandchildren: Chanelle, wife of Kunal Patel, of Berwick, Tonya Woytowich, of Elysburg, Sean Rupert, and his wife Angel, of Zion Grove, Corbin Barnes, of Northumberland; and six great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday September 6, 2026 starting at 1 p.m. in the Bloomsburg Elks Lodge #436, 1223 Old Berwick Rd., Bloomsburg, PA 17815.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
