Shelby J. (Mausteller) Derr

Shelby J. (Mausteller) Derr, age 79, of Miffinville died peacefully at her home on Friday evening, July 17, 2026 , while under the care of Compassus Hospice.

Born in Bloomsburg on November 9, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Cleo M. (Slusser) Mausteller. She spent most of her life in Mifflinville.

Shelby was employed at the Berwick Knit Wear mill for 35 years.

She attended the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Bloomsburg for many years. Her favorite activity was attending yard sales.

Shelby is survived by her husband of 30 years, John R. Derr; a daughter, April Mills of Berwick and two sons: Larry Pursel and his wife Tammy of Bloomsburg and Gordon Pursel of Lake City, Florida; nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 10 a. m. in the Mifflinville Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean w. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
