Sheila Ann Riley

Sheila A. (Hendricks) Riley, age 80, of 363 Boyd Station Road, Danville passed away at Grandview Nursing and Rehabilitation in Danville on Tuesday, February 21, 2023.

Born in Mahoning Township on April 10, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Frank W. and Elsie (Belle) Hendricks. She was a lifelong resident of the Danville area and a 1960 graduate of Danville High School.

Sheila was employed by Merck & Co., Riverside for 20 years retiring in 2002. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to casinos, trying different restaurants and especially spending time with her family.

She was a lifelong member of the Shiloh United Church of Christ, Danville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Frank W. “Bud” Hendricks, Jr. in 1981.

Sheila is survived by her husband, David F. Riley, with whom she would have observed their 59^th wedding anniversary on February 22, 2023; five sons: David A. Riley and his wife Lisa, Danville, Steve Riley and his companion Sharon Reynolds of Danville, Scott Riley and his wife Anna of Danville, Tim Riley and his wife Teresa of Elysburg, Chris Riley and his wife Myriah of Danville; eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023, at 11 a. m. in the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Road, Danville with Rev. Mary B. Schmotzer, pastor of Shiloh United Church of Christ officiating. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Friends may call from 10-11 a. m.
