Scott Douglas Woolcock

Scott Douglas Woolcock, age 47, of Danville, passed away unexpectedly on September 24, 2023. He was born in Danville on January 10, 1976 to Gary and Gloria (Matylewicz) Woolcock and grew up in Greenwood Valley.

A graduate of Millville High School and Juniata College, Scott was currently employed as an independent contractor. In high school, he was a standout athlete on the soccer, basketball, and baseball teams, and he continued his athletic career playing on the soccer team in college. At both schools Scott forged many lifelong friendships that sustained and supported him throughout his lifetime.

In his spare time, Scott was an avid reader and fan of all Philadelphia sports teams, devoting many hours to both activities. Without a doubt, though, his happiest moments were those spent with his three beloved children.

In addition to his parents, Scott is survived by his children: Lucas, Sophia, and Shane. Additional survivors include his brother, Jason Woolcock and his wife Bobbie and their children, Trenton, Logan, and Ethan; his sister, Hope Hand and her husband Jonathan and their children, Madeline, Nicholas, and Christopher. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends will also miss him deeply.

Scott was predeceased by his uncle Thomas Matylewicz, paternal grandparents Ruth and Gerald Woolcock, maternal grandparents June and Stanley Matylewicz.

All services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
