Sandra G. Reibsome, age 78, of 361 Avenue F, Danville (Riverside), went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at her home on Tuesday, April 7, 2020, at 10:04 p. m.

Born in Bloomsburg on August 6, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Monroe W. and Jessie L. (McHenry) Johnson. She was a resident of Riverside since 2007 and was formerly of Danville.

Sandra worked as an LPN at Danville State Hospital for over 10 years, retiring due to health problems in 1991.

Sandra was very proud to be a nurse. She was extremely proud that while being a mother of four young children, she attended and graduated from the Danville Area School District practical nursing program. She was presented the Robert H. Binkley Memorial Award, which recognized her outstanding performance in all phases of her training.

She was a member of the Pine Street Lutheran Church in Danville, Loyal Order of Moose Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary of Post 40, Daughters of the American Revolution, Tah Gah Jute Chapter, and the Continental Fire Co. No. 3 Ladies Auxiliary. One of her favorite hobbies was crocheting and sharing her works with family members.

She loved her husband, Irvin, her children, grandchildren, and great granddaughter with all of her heart and she often told them that.

Sandra was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Reibsome in 2016; son, Scott Reibsome in 2019; and a sister, Areda Hunter.

She is survived by her husband, Irvin L. Reibsome, with whom she celebrated their 62nd anniversary on March 29, 2020; son, John P. Reibsome, and his wife Kristene, Danville; daughter, Sharon Harner, Riverside; six grandchildren: Michael Harner, Meaghan Shamp, Brittany Winnick, Nathan Reibsome, Allison Jordan, and Samantha Jordan; a great granddaughter, Lillian Shamp; and two sisters, Carolyn Johnson, Chicago, IL, and Marilyn, and her husband, Tom Brady of Texas.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pine Street Lutheran Church, 621 Pine St., Danville, PA 17821, or the American Heart Association, 4250 Crums Mill Road, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17112.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Rd., Danville.
