My deepest sympathy to the family of Ruth Ginter Woolcock as you mourn the loss of a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. I regret not being able to attend her memorial service, since I must be in Virginia this weekend. I will accompany you in spirit as you celebrate her life. I remember Ruth as a woman who modeled an inner (as well as external) beauty, dignity, virtue and kindness. I admired her for all of these things and for her seemingly serene self-confidence. I hope that you will find comfort in your memories of her and the love she had for you all.

Our condolences and love to the family of Ruth Woolcock. She was a women filled with love and generosity to those who met her. Ruth always made us feel welcome into her home and we always enjoyed time spent talking with her. She was kind enough to share some of her recipes with me, so now whenever I make them, we will remember her fondly. I always enjoyed seeing her amazing handmade quilts and she taught me so much, but I will never match her abilities in quilt making. I will cherish the Christmas table runner she gave me forever. I will try to age gracefully, as Ruth did, she is my role model for kindness, hospitality, generosity, and goodness. We will miss her dearly.
