Ruth M. (Garraway) Onisick, age 82, 112 Church Street, Catawissa, died peacefully at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville on Saturday, October 10, 2020 after a brief illness.

Born in Frackville on October 30, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Helen (Wagner) Garraway. A 1956 graduate of Frackville High School and a resident of Catawissa for the past 49 years.

Ruth was employed by the former Bell Telephone Co., of PA in Philadelphia early in her life. Later she was employed at the former Emenee Shirt Factory in Catawissa and last at the former Keck Drapery Factory in Bloomsburg, retiring in 2000.

She attended St. Columba Catholic Church, Bloomsburg with her husband. The most important part of her life was her family: husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She cherished all of them.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jesse Cabello in 2012 and by three brothers: Jack Wagner, Wayne “Butch” Garraway and Joseph Garraway.

Ruth is survived by her husband, Joseph F. Onisick, and they celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on May 30, 2020; a daughter, Suzie, wife of Kerry Seitz, Southlake, Texas; a son, Joseph M. Onisick, and his wife Suzie, Lime Ridge; six grandchildren: Austin Onisick, and his wife Kristin, Brandon Onisick, Kerry Seitz, Jr.,   Andrea Seitz, Eloisa McCorquodale, Juan Cabello; seven great-grandchildren: Emily Onisick, Turner Onisick, Landon Cabello, Mia Spickard, Kevin McCorquodale, Jeremy McCorquodale, Brayden McCorquodale and a great-granddaughter on the way.

Also surviving are two sisters: Carol “Toni” Kline, Mahanoy City and Jean Keim, Frackville, a sister-in-law, Anne Garraway, Frackville and a number of nieces and nephews.

 Private services will be held at the convenience of the family in The Dean W Kriner Funeral Home and Cremation Service,. 325 Market St, Bloomsburg with the Rev. Gordon E. Smith, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church, Espy officiating. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Catawissa.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
