Ruth I. (Foust) Fry, 95, of Ivy Lane, Danville passed away at her home on Saturday morning, March 14, 2026, after an illness.
Born on June 26, 1931 in Mahoning Township, Montour County, she was a daughter of the late Luther and Ruth E. (Weaser) Foust. She was a lifelong resident of Danville and a 1949 graduate of Danville High School.
Ruth was employed early in her life as a cashier at the former Burns Drug Store in Danville and later she was a cashier and chief toy buyer for Cole’s Hardware in Danville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Eber Carlton Fry on October 14, 1997.
Ruth is survived by two children: Terry William Fry and his wife Janice of Sarasota, Florida and Vickie wife of Laverne Reed of Bloomsburg; four grandchildren: David Fry and his wife Claudia of New York City, Michael Fry and his wife Laura of Mamaroneck, New York, Kevin Kinney and his fiancé Leeann Robbins of Lewisburg and Andrew Kinney of Bloomsburg; two great grandchildren: Eily Fry and Phoebe Fry.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with the Rev. Gordon E. Smith pastor of St. John Lutheran Church in Espy officiating. Interment will follow in Elan Memorial Park at Lime Ridge.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Road, Danville.
