Russell J. Bennett

Russell J. Bennett, age 78, of Hickory Dr., Bloomsburg, passed away on Monday December 4, 2023 at his home under the care of Compassus Hospice.

Born on October 25, 1945 in Morristown, NJ, he was the son of the late William and Virginia (Stackhouse) Piez. Russell was a 1963 graduate of Parsippany High School in New Jersey. He resided in Bloomsburg for 33 years.

Russell served in the New Jersey National Guard.

He was a self-employed stonemason and contractor for 35 years.

Russell was a member of the American Legion Post 273, Bloomsburg. An avid Green Bay Packers fan and shareholder, he loved boating, hiking, and fishing.

Surviving is his wife of 56 years, Robin R. (Sutton) Bennett; a son, Christopher J. Bennett, and his wife Amy, of Bloomsburg; a daughter, Jennifer Bennett, of Montville, NJ; and a grandson, Gabriel Bennett, of Bloomsburg.

At his request, there will be no services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
