Our thoughts and prayer are with the entire family. He was a great person and will be missed. Please allow a correction that his sister's name which is shown as Erma Clewell, should be Erma Kromer.

I was so lucky to have met Roy when I was an elementary teacher at the W.W.Evans Elem. School. Roy would speak to our students at our annual Veterans Day assembly. When I called to ask if he would be available for the event, he would say yes and come to school wearing his WWII uniform. Roy was an inspiration of pride in his country to all who knew him. I would tell him he was one of my favorite Veterans, after of course, my Dad, Andy Waskie who served in the Army in WWII as well. Dad and Roy are in Heaven now trading war stories and local memories. We'd exchange Christmas cards and he would send me one with a collectable coin that I have saved and cherish. God bless this dear man and brave soldier. I thanked him always for his service and I will always remember Roy and his sweet smile while speaking to students at our school or walking in the Bloomsburg Veterans parade.
