Robert J. Sweitzer

Robert J. Sweitzer, age 77, of Bloomsburg died at the Glen Brook Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Berwick on Thursday, October 15, 2026, after a long illness.

Born in Bloomsburg on January 8, 1949, he was a son of the late Robert E. and Ethel (Stewart) Sweitzer. He was a lifelong resident of the Bloomsburg area.

Robert was employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for 34 years retiring in 2024.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother William Sweitzer in 2024.

Surviving is his wife Linda R. (Taylor) Sweitzer with whom he observed their 58th wedding anniversary on December 16, 2026; a daughter, Patricia wife of Frank Shultz of Orangeville, a son Robert J. Sweitzer, Jr., and his wife Stephanie of Bloomsburg; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., FuneraL Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
