Robert Lee Johnson

Robert Lee Johnson, age 76, of Gordon, Schuylkill County, died at the Geisinger Medical Center on Friday, May 29, 2020 after an illness.

Born in Hazleton on March 2, 1944, he was the son of the late Guy and Sarah “Sally” (Ashman) Johnson. He resided in Gordon for the past 11 years and spent most of his life in Bloomsburg.

Bob was a self employed contractor in Bloomsburg doing business as “Bob Johnson Contracting.”

He loved watching baseball and basketball and in his later years became an avid viewer of WWE wrestling on television.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Edgar W. Johnson on November 25, 2014, his sister, Margaret J. Thomas on March 27, 2018 and a nephew David W. Johnson who died several hours before him on May 29, 2020.

Bob is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 2:00 p. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with the Rev. Dr. L. Lee Barnhardt, pastor of First English Baptist, Bloomsburg officiating. Interment will follow in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge. A viewing will be held from 1-2  p. m.
