Robert W. Guthrie

Robert W. Guthrie, 82, of Mountain Road, Berwick died at his home on Friday morning, September 12, 2025 after an illness.

Born in Jersey Shore on March 13, 1943, he was a son of the late Stanley L. and Nellie (Barr) Guthrie.

Robert was employed as a laborer at various jobs including the Dana, Corp in Berwick.

He was a member of the Berwick V. F. W. He enjoyed repairing tractors, riding his motorcycle and camping.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Susan K. Glasser, on August 5, 2023; two brothers, Stanley Guthrie, Jr. and Laman; and a sister, Gloria.

Robert is survived by two daughters: Anna Samsel of Bloomsburg and Melinda Berry of Coaldale; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; six siblings: Ronald Guthrie, and his wife Molly, Gene Guthrie, Tony Guthrie, and his wife Tammy, Steve Guthrie, Pamela Swank, and Claudia.

There will not be any funeral services.
