Robert T. Buff, Jr.

Robert T. Buff, Jr., age 39, of Oman Road, Bloomsburg, died Monday July 17, 2023 in a motor vehicle accident on I-80 in Liberty Twp., Montour Co.

Born in Berwick on May 13, 1984, he was the son of Robert T. Sr., and Karen (Peak) Buff. A 2002 graduate of Hazleton High School, his early life was spent in Hazleton. Following High School, he attended Bloomsburg University and graduated in 2007. Immediately after graduating from Bloomsburg University, he was employed at the Denver International Airport in Colorado for one year.

Robert was employed by the Federal Bureau of Prisons. At the time of his death, he was working as the manager for UNICOR at Federal Correctional Institute Allenwood. Earlier, he was employed at United States Penitentiary Lewisburg and Federal Correctional Institute Schuylkill. 

He attended the L.C.B.C. church in Bloomsburg.

Robert loved his family the most, but also enjoyed hunting, fishing, kayaking, archery, and driving his ATV. He loved attending his children’s sporting events. He also loved dogs, especially German Shepherds.

Surviving in addition to his parents who reside in Mifflinville, is his wife, the former Jacquelyn M. Kelly, with whom he celebrated their 11^th wedding anniversary on June 30, 2023; a son, Gabriel R. Buff, age 9; a daughter, Helena M. Buff, age 7; a sister, Melanie Buff, of Mifflinville; a brother, Michael Buff, of Red Lion; and his maternal grandmother, Martha Peak, of Kansas.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 22, 2023 at 3 p.m. in the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with Pastor Doug Knepp, Chaplain at Allenwood Penitentiary, officiating. The family will greet friends from 1-3 p.m.
