Ricky Lee "Rick" Steward

Ricky L. “Rick” Steward, age 65, of Mill Street, Orangeville, died at 5:35 p. m. Saturday, November 21, 2020 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born at Geisinger on November 4, 1955, he was a son of Carolyn F. (Albertson) Steward of Orangeville and the late Gerald L. “Mick” Steward. He was a lifelong resident of Orangeville and a 1974 graduate of Central Columbia High School.

Rick was employed by O’Neil Excavating, Orangeville for the past 20 years and previously worked for Klingerman Brothers in Bloomsburg for about 25 years.

He was a member of the Orangeville United Church.

Rick was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, camping and 4 wheeling. He especially loved the time he spent with his grandson Owen. His faithful companion was his dog, Tucker.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kelsey Rena Steward, on October 17, 1999.

Rick is survived by his mother, Carolyn and his loving wife, the former Denise E. Hower, with whom he observed his 44th wedding anniversary on March 6, 2020, three daughters: Renee Steward and Stacie, wife of Traay Cook, both of Orangeville, Jenna Steward and her companion Timothy Zettle, Stillwater, a grandson Owen Newhart, a sister Cindy, wife of Brian Bankes, Bloomsburg and a brother Ronald L. Steward and his wife Nadine, Orangeville.

Private service will be held by his family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
