Richard H. "Rick" Maciejewski

Richard H. "Rick" Maciejewski, age 75, of Catawissa, died on Saturday September 5, 2026 at his home.

Born on April 16, 1951 in Shamokin, he was the son of the late Henry and Martha (Kopitsky) Maciejewski. He was a 1969 graduate of Southern Columbia High School.

Richard served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He was last employed at Southern Columbia High School in the maintenance department. Prior to that, he was employed at the former TRW in Danville until it closed.

Richard was a member of the American Legion Post 541 in Catawissa and the VFW Post 8306 in Catawissa. He was also a member of the Valley Gun and Country Club and the Roaring Creek Hunting Club.

He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He loved his golden retrievers Johnny, Zeke, Cassie, and Bandit.

Surviving is his sister, Rose, wife of Donald Whitenight, of Catawissa; nephew, Glen Whitenight, of Catawissa; and niece, Missy Whitenight, and her partner Frank Orlicki, of Philadelphia.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
