Richard E. "Richie" Herbert
Richard E. “Richie†Herbert, Jr., age 42, 109 W. Mahoning St., Danville, died in Wilkes-Barre on Saturday, August 9, 2014.
Born in Camp LeJeune, NC on July 31, 1972, He was a son of Patricia (Asbury) Herbert, Danville and the late Richard E. Herbert. A 1990 graduate of North Shore High School in Slidell, La.; Richie resided in Danville the last several years.
Richie was a carpenter, and enjoyed building things in his spare time. He also loved to play with his infant daughter.
Surviving in addition to his mother are two daughters: Alexis Herbert, Middleburg, Fla. and Willow Herbert, Danville; his companion, Shawna Malencore, Danville; a brother, Glen Herbert, companion Rachel LaGrange, Pearl River, La. and a sister, Anissa Julian, Slidell, La.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1715 Bloom Road, Danville, with a family friend, Jeffrey C. Hess officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
The family will provide flowers.
