Raymond P. Kressler

Raymond P. "Ray" Kressler, age 51, 135 Forrest Road, Bloomsburg, died on Thursday, July 1, 2010 and was pronounced dead at 6:20 p.m.

Born in Rochester, New York on March 15, 1959, he was a son of the late Robert E. and Marjorie A. (May) Kressler. A 1977 graduate of Bloomsburg High School, he resided in Bloomsburg for most of his life.

Ray had owned his own business, Ray Kressler Trucking Company, for many years.

He was a member of the Bloomsburg Elks Lodge 436; and a social member of the American Legion in Bloomsburg, Catawissa and Danville.

Ray was preceded in death by a daughter, Sara Ann Kressler, on February 10, 2009.

Surviving are his companion, Marlene (McCormick) Renz, and her son, Mitchell Renz, who resided with him; a son, Raymond T. Kressler, Berwick; and a step-brother, Robert Hendricks, York.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg, with Rev. Allen F. Acor, pastor of the Hendrickson-Mooresburg United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. Friends may call on Tuesday from 12-1 p.m.
