Raymond L. Eveland

Raymond L. Eveland, age 79, of Catawissa passed away on Friday June 9, 2023, while under hospice care, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was previously a resident of Glenn Brook Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Berwick.

Born in Bloomsburg on June 20,1943, he was a son of the late Charles P. and Florence M. (Waltman) Eveland. He resided in Catawissa most of his life and was a 1961 graduate of Catawissa High School.

Raymond drove a tractor trailer truck for many years, worked at Dillon Floral Corp. in Bloomsburg as a delivery truck driver and last at Walmart. In his spare time and after retiring, he spent many hours running and working on his model trains and doing woodworking.

Raymond is survived by his brother Guy E. Eveland and his wife Naomi of Catawissa; two nephews, Mark Eveland and his wife Sheri of Columbus, Ohio and Brad Eveland and his wife Beverly of North Pole, Alaska; two great nieces, McKenzie, wife of James Cowart, Navarre, Florida and Kacie Eveland of Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

There will be a graveside service at Hillside Cemetery in Catawissa at the convenience of the family
