Ray A. Krohn, 67, of Danville died peacefully at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville on Friday, August 29, 2025, surrounded by his family

Born at Geisinger on August 13, 1958, he was the son of the late Donald and Elisabeth (Hegner) Krohn.

Ray was a 1976 graduate of the Columbia Montour Vocational Technical School where he played football and was a member of the chess club. He studied microprocessors and microcomputers at NRI School, Class of 1995.

He was employed by Hawkins Chevrolet from 1989 to 2001 and by Spectrum Technologies, Inc. from 2001 to 2020.

Ray was a member of the Danville Moose Lodge, the American Radio Relay League and the National Rifle Association.

He enjoyed Ham radio, ghost hunting, Octoberfest in the Catskills, spending time with his grandkids and collecting German memorabilia. His favorite pastime was coaching his children in softball and baseball, and his favorite saying was “Live long and prosper” - Spock.

Ray is survived by three children: Sandy Jones, Ray A. Krohn, II and Heather Krohn, all of Riverside; three grandchildren, Winter Brown, Nicholas Krohn and Grayson Krohn.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025 at 2:30 p. m. at Elan Memorial Park, 5595 Old Berwick Road, Bloomsburg with Rev. Gordon E. Smith, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church, Espy, officiating.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Road, Danville.
