Rachel E. Harlow, age 94, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Monday June 15, 2026 at her home.
Born on May 20, 1932 in Rumford, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Cummings Buster and Margaret H. (Stroup) Harlow. She resided in the Bloomsburg and Berwick areas for most of her life.
Rachel loved going to casinos, buying lottery tickets, and cooking. She also adored cats and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Affectionately known as “The Ice Cream Lady,” she proudly made ice cream for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her three sons: Harold D. “Don” English on December 5, 1992, David C. English on November 7, 2019, and James D. English on July 18, 2025.
Surviving are her three daughters: Rachel M. English, of Bloomsburg, Tammy K. Reichenbach, of Bloomsburg; and Holly M. English, of Plymouth; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
The family will meet at the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, on Friday June 19, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. and proceed in a procession to the New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy, where the Rev. Dr. Joel L. Zeiders, retired pastor of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, will officiate.
