Paul O. Greenly

Paul O. Greenly, age 91, of Fernville, died peacefully at his home at 9:50 p. m. on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, after an illness.

Born in Pine Township on January 14, 1931, he was a son of the late Manley and Veda (Kinney) Greenly. He was a 1949 graduate of Millville High School and a resident of Fernville since 1968.

Paul was a truck driver for Atlantic Richfield Refining Co., for many years, working out of Northumberland. In 1985 he became the owner of the Wash & Shop in the Market Street Shopping Center and also the University Laundry, retiring in 1997.

He attended the Bloomsburg Christian Church.

Paul was an active volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America. He was a Mr. Fixit, meaning he could fix anything. He also was a NASCAR and Penn State Football fan.

He served with the U. S. Army during the Korean War and was a graduate of the Army Tank School at Fort Knox, Kentucky. He was a member of the Valley of Bloomsburg Post 273, American Legion.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, the former Becky Force, and his two children: Lisa Gardner, wife of Michael Horan, Kingston and William R. Greenly and his wife Michele, Bloomsburg; two grandchildren, Austin Gardner, Annapolis, Maryland and Samantha Gardner, Scottsdale, Arizona; a sister, Marjorie Campton, Camp Hill and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 a. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg with Eric J. Miller, lead pastor of the Bloomsburg Christian Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Millville Cemetery with military honors being provided by the combines American Legion and VFW honor guard. Viewing on Sunday from 4-6 p. m.
