Patsy Ann Kester, age 67, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Maples Nursing Home in Springdale where she was lovingly cared for.
Born on August 7, 1958, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late James Earl and Iva (Barker) Moore.
She was a member of the Farmington First Church of the Nazarene. Patsy had attended Church there for many years and enjoyed teaching children’s Sunday School classes. Patsy was a 1976 graduate of Farmington High School. She later attended University of Arkansas where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.
She worked for many years at the Mullins Library and the Biology of Science Department at the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
In addition to her parents, Patsy is preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Moore and nieces.
She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, David Kester; three brothers: Leon Moore (Rose) of Lincoln, Arkansas, Henry Moore of Topeka, Kansas, and William Moore (Nancy) of Elkins; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Friday May 15, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. in Elan Memorial Park, 5595 Old Berwick Rd., Bloomsburg, with Rev. Gordon E. Smith, of St. John Lutheran Church, Espy, officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
