With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Patricia (Ward) Weinhofer, age 80, of Orangeville, who entered eternal rest on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was a resident of Grandview Nursing Home and is now at peace with the Lord.
Born in Danville, Patricia was the daughter of the late William J. and Anna Jean (Burns) Ward. She was a graduate of St. Cyril Academy, Class of 1963, and went on to earn both her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Master’s Degree in Communications from Bloomsburg University. She later served the university as an Academic Advisor, where her steady guidance, patience, and compassion touched the lives of countless students.
Patricia was known for having the patience of a saint---quiet strength she carried into every role of her life. She was a devoted and active member of Saint Columba Catholic Church in Bloomsburg, where she helped organize the church’s 125th Anniversary, Voyager, Winterfest, Choir, and Food Pantry, serving faithfully alongside her beloved husband, Mike. She especially loved to sing in church, finding joy and peace in lifting her voice in praise. Together, Patricia and Mike shared a life of faith, service, and many cherished travels.
Family was at the center of Patricia’s life. A cherished yearly tradition was the gathering of siblings to celebrate each other’s birthdays, moments filled with laughter and togetherness--- occasions Patricia especially loved, often enjoyed with an ice-cold beer in hand and a smile that said everything.
She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Mike Weinhofer; her sons, Bill Deibert, and wife Nicki, of Florida, Mark Deibert, and wife Jukov-Altai, of Hawaii, and Tom Deibert, of Shamokin; her daughter, Kristine Woolridge, of Bloomsburg; her grandchildren, Chad, Ethan, Alicia, Gabrielle, Mackenzie, and Roman; her great-grandchildren, Jude and Davian; her stepson, Gerald Giudicessi, and wife Jess, of Orangeville. She is also survived by her brothers, Jerry and wife Carol and Joe Ward; her sisters, Janine Reibsome and husband Todd and Marie Strausser and husband Steve, all of Danville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday December 22, 2025 at 11 a.m. in St. Columba Catholic Church, 342 Iron St., Bloomsburg, with her pastor, Rev. Richard J. Mowery, officiating. Interment will follow in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. Viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m. in the church.
Special thank you to Kelly Deibert, Grandview nursing staff, and hospice staff.
Patricia is now free from illness, her mind restored, her song renewed, and her memories--- those sacred and those joyfully ordinary--- held forever in the hearts of those who loved her.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
